Edward Cox’s civil practice includes general commercial/equity, Corporations, Probate and admiralty/transport. The commercial work is predominantly general contract disputes, corporations list proceedings and equitable claims in the Supreme and District Court. His Admiralty practise is predominantly in the Federal Court for cargo importers, P&I Clubs and ship owners. It ranges from bill of lading cases, charter party disputes, collision cases, salvage claims and general average.
To a lesser extent Edward Cox has appeared in criminal proceedings including fraud cases, proceeds of crime and environmental offences. He has appeared for the prosecution in the Land & Environment Court and the Local Court.
